Hikes in the Area

Black Mountain Trail Head

A relatively easy hike with a few challenging spots, Black Mountain offers for incredible rewards for the price of one. Length: 2.5 miles.

Shelving Rock Falls

Shelving Rock Mountain and Shelving Rock Falls Trail is a 6.3 mile moderately trafficked loop trail near Fort Ann, New York that features a waterfall and is a good hike for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, and nature trips.

Prospect Mountain

The Prospect Mountain Veterans Memorial Highway is a Parkway located in the town of Lake George, New York. The road is 5.88 miles long, starting at the US Route 9 and the New York State Route 9N in concurrency and ending at the peak of Prospect Mountain.

Crane Mountain

Crane Mountain Loop is a 3.1 mile heavily trafficked loop trail near Johnsburg, New York. It features a lake and is rated as a difficult hike. The trail is primarily used for hiking, camping, birdwatching and fishing. The hike is best used from June until October.

Hackensack Mountain

 Hackensack Mountain is a small Adirondack Mountain located in Warrensburg, New York and rises approximately 1,357 feet in elevation. The Hackensack Mountain Trails vary in length. It is 1.5 miles out and back to the Summit from Hackensack Avenue. It is a 2.4 mile summit loop from Prospect Street.

Cat Mountain

This Adirondack Hiking Trail offers an amazing variety of terrain, including streams, wetlands, and beaver ponds. The route is a generally moderate 6 mile round trip hike with a few challenging spots.

Thomas Mountain

The mountains are loud in the spring. The birds are back in the trees, chirping in flying from limb to limb. Squirrels and chipmunks crunch through brown leaves, gathering and talking. Water streams down mountainsides flowing strong and loud from snowmelt, always.

Sleeping Beauty Mountain

Discover the 7 mile loop trail near Fort Ann, New York. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of four hours to complete. This is a very popular area for camping, fishing and hiking. You will likely encounter other people while exploring the site.

Pilot Knob Trail Head

Pilot Knob Ridge is a 3.8 mile heavily trafficked out and back trail located near Cleverdale, New York features of lake in his rated as a moderate hike. The trail is primarily use for hiking and nature trips and is accessible year round. Dogs are also able to use this trail.

Buck Mountain Trail Head

Discover this 7.00 mile, out and back trail near Kattskill Bay, New York. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 4 h 10 min to complete. This is a very popular area for hiking, snowshoeing, and trail running, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring.

Ski Gore Mountain

Opening in 1934, Gore Mountain offers the largest trail and lift network in New York. Plan in advanced to get the most out of your trip.

Ski Whiteface Mountain

Whiteface Mountain is the fifth-highest mountain in the U.S. state of New York, and one of the High Peaks of the Adirondack Mountains.

Hudson River Recreation Area (AKA The Nature Trails)

A nice out and back or loop trail hike along the Hudson River with a large parking area. Lightly Trafficked.

Warrensburg Farmer's Market

Every Friday from Memorial Day Weekend through Columbus Day Weekend from 3pm-6pm fresh fruits, vegetables, flowers, soaps, cheeses, maple syrups and more can be purchased.

NETTLE MEADOW TAVERN & SHOP

We make a variety of artisan cheese, primarily with goat and sheep milk. We also house over 130 rescue animals at our sanctuary. Tours are Saturdays at noon. You may notice I have cheese sitting out for you from here, please enjoy. Come see both locations!

Here at THE Pizza Shop, we hand-toss authentic, Italian style pizza using our 40- year-old family recipes from our homeland of Italy. This is one of the best kept secret in the Adirondacks. Located in Warrensburg, NY. The menu is inventive and wonderful.
